Carrefoure American promotion
Junk food and Tide laundry detergent.
Way to go USA!
A whole wall full of snacks.
The Thai promo had furniture and Hawaiian shirts.
OK, so maybe if they promoted Canada they would show Hot Chic calendars and maple blah blah blah.
Did you know that steel wool is flammable?
I haven't had a fruit roll up in more than a decade. If only they had imported red or black licorice.
I wanted to drop 26000 nt for a 37" panasonic television. I couldn't do it so I bought a new tool box for 249nt$.
My new job has a massive Mac with Final cut pro in English. I think the next Ktv will have more successful chrome-magna effects.

A Poem / Sermon
Marianne Williamson
Our greatest fear is not that we are inadequate, but that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that frightens us.
We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, handsome, talented and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you.
We were born to make manifest the glory of God within us. It is not just in some; it is in everyone. And, as we let our own light shine, we consciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

Polanco's Error
Wikipedia and baseball errors.
The term "ordinary effort" is what makes "baseball error" more clear to me. Polanco must have bobbled fielding the grounder, missed the double play at second and made a poor throw to first. For his correct field position but poor execution he received an error.
His first error in a year seems note worthy for The China Post but didn't make the highlight reels.

Detroit and the Yankees
While getting a haircut I watched the first two innings of the game. Polanco committed an error in the second. He caught the ball at the second base position and threw it to first. They called the runner at first safe. What did he do wrong? Perhaps I should call a baseball fan. If BretT could afford a phone I would have called him. He is probably in a library somewhere, reading Spainish comic books.
The hair cut was bad, the neck rub was fantastic. The girl kept looking at me like I was supposed to ask her out...
A quick google says Polanco threw high to the plate after getting a bouncing ground ball a runner scored.. but I think he caught the ball and threw to first avoiding trying to tag the guy running to second. He didn't get the guy at first, cause he didn't catch the ball.. What was the error? ?

Zeitgeist
Zeitgeist -the spirit of the time; general trend of thought or feeling characteristic of a particular period of time.
A two hour movie, related to 9/11 conspiracies and the IRS. Part III (most interesting) has several comments about Bush and the federal bank reserve. As well as commentary about the North American Union.
Video plays much better if you go directly to google video.

shiretowners salvaged a tie with the camels this past week in fantasy baseball action but fell out of 5th place to 7th. hard charging taipan and pimp's e's each demolished their opponents (bread and dwayne) effectively climbing back into contention.
thanks guys.
it's a log jam for the final two playoff spots as we take on pimp for the first time all season and taipan takes on the rainiers.
all four teams are within 5 percentage points of each other.
should be an interesting week.
hope pimp's really enjoying the lake country these next couple of weeks.

it had to happen sooner or later. rye's shiretowners took on the chin this past week in fantasy baseball action losing to the newcastle guzzlers 9-6, effectively ending my june-july unbeaten streak.
we remain in 5th place for the time being with no less than 5 teams within striking distance this week.
squaring off against the 2nd ranked camels tomorrow...

Cut-offs
Erections and tofu farts got the better of most of my shorts. For a 100nt I had my shabby pants converted, and they fit perfectly.
I say "NO to having the crotch of my shorts rip out again!" I say "No" to the old seamstress winking before fixing another pair of tattered shorts. So maybe it is my ass-crack plumber butt that stresses my seams. I say it is better than a two toothed seamstress stressing my dreams.
Fun with rich kids
Amusement park, these kids did not walk by a vending machine or ice water seller without stopping. The water log ride was fun. I had to wear a raincoat to set an example for the kids.
2 buses, 4 kids per room, 6000 per room= 7th and 8th floor of the hotel. By 9:30 all the kids were asleep. Not a single can of beer, or 7-11 for miles around. The pool and other facilities also closed at 10 pm. Well at least there was no traffic buzz, highways, or chicken farms.

kevlar the science teacher
i don't see much of kevlar these days - he pops by once a week for a beer and to pick up building materials for his next project - but i do know he's been teaching elementary school again, including science class. he was telling me about his waterwheel experiment the other day but i think this would be way cooler.
