outdoor hockey
over the winter the little village of waterville turns into ice town...
the boys are doing great on skates.
my first time on blades in at least ten years.
in fact the last time i skated was in taichung of all places.
remember that rink on that road i can't remember the name of? hmm?
i don't think it's there any more.
this was fun. as fun as winter can be.

winter blues
wake up in the dark . get ready drink coffee in the dark . start the car in the dark. let it run for minutes in the dark because it's frigid . drive to work in the dark . watch the ineffectual sun come up over the hills . blasted winter . looking forward to the earth tilting its axis toward the sun for a season or two.
