Spelt It Wronged
I have been teased for my spelling, and I became more diligent. My future should be in sign construction, I have just the right mix of "Don't give a damn and sure, I can do that."
This was taken at a GEPT bushiban by the Burger King in Feng Ja, and not the one by Chung-Yo.
The large sign has the word "peoficiency", which is the test of student urine for test taking, Grade Enhancing Performance Drugs.

My Tri-Bike and My Bi-Bike
The Bi-Bike was the same price as the first bike I bought in Tawian.2500nt.
I bought it from a drug store across from the Da dwan Carrefoure. It looked
like a good deal. But it couldn't have passed the export inspector.Parts I have
replaced 2 tubes 300nt,1 tire 400nt,broke3 pedals 750nt,1 light 199nt, brake
levers(2)borrowed from an abandoned bike.1649nt seemed like plenty a minute ago.
The tri-bike is a 14spd chrome-moly steel framed road bike with bio-pace chain
rings and aluminium everything else.It was left in the recycling dump.On a
dare/suggestion that I couldn't get it on my motorcyle from the pub to my
home I saved it. During my quitting smoking phase I rode a bike to school
(twice a week).I figured this bike would make the trip a little faster than
my folding bike.I want a bike computer to help me track travel distance,
about 500nt. Money just got eaten. 2tires 300nt, 4pedals 650nt,4cables and
tubes 800nt, brake levers 450nt,tape 400nt, seat 150nt,one cassette gear
150nt,chain 400nt, 750nt labour,paint300nt,primer 80nt,sandpaper 45nt.
I wasn't ever going to paint the bike. When I decided to enter the triathlon,
I thought I should paint it, so when I was putting it back together I thought
I will put on new cables, better pedals, and pay someone to re-assemble it.
Time, effort, 4500nt and I have to pedal it by myself.
A similar bike new is only 6500nt, and a new one has re-sale value. Well my
bike will always have the "Old School Look!" and not having manufacturing
stickers makes for a conversation opener with strangers.

we've been spending most weekends at east grand chiputneticook. the weather (that's what people talk about here) has been hit and miss, that is, sometimes sunny, sometimes rainy. these pics are from a glorious summer day a couple of weeks ago. word is the macleod clan will be popping by the lake tomorrow night en route from pei to the states

High Road Adventure
Up going, rolling along, stalling and coming to a silent stop, 15 minutes of scary flashing, hugging the freeway shoulder barrier area, waiting.
Listening to someone complain about towing and fixing. God I was happy to be off the road and up on the flatbed.
1500 for the tow (good), 4500 to replace the broken part (ok, if he did it right)
Big invite to eat yummy BBQ fish (ok, but no beer cause I'm not spending the night)
I was invited back to go fishing, but we can't communicate. Man these guys got friendly with the questions and statements. The little guy in red is the mechanic, he has two children a boy 18 and a girl 5 years old. His buddy the guy in black and yellow felt I needed to hear that the mechanic had metal balls inserted under the skin of his man-tool. Apparently it helps with the ladies. WAy too much info.
I'm happy to forget the whole day. Except it was Kaia's birthday, and we were going to grandmas to play games and eat cake.
