Ant Puck Luck

Well I put the whole box out and came home ten days later to find little piles of dead ants. A day later I saw some ten ants. I think there are so many ants that I will never kill them all. Perhaps these pucks only work for two weeks.

Third bottle

Guess i am not so clean. This is my third bottle of dish soap since I came to Taiwan. The price of a gallon of soap has risen from 39 to a whooping 59 nt.

One of three I built before my vacation. This one weighs in at a hefty 23 pounds, has two magnetic chalkboards, and a storage area. The magnets will hold paper in place while the child uses crayons.

shiretowners salvaged a tie with the camels this past week in fantasy baseball action but fell out of 5th place to 7th. hard charging taipan and pimp's e's each demolished their opponents (bread and dwayne) effectively climbing back into contention.

it's a log jam for the final two playoff spots as we take on pimp for the first time all season and taipan takes on the rainiers.

all four teams are within 5 percentage points of each other.

should be an interesting week.

it had to happen sooner or later. rye's shiretowners took on the chin this past week in fantasy baseball action losing to the newcastle guzzlers 9-6, effectively ending my june-july unbeaten streak.

we remain in 5th place for the time being with no less than 5 teams within striking distance this week.

squaring off against the 2nd ranked camels tomorrow...

Getttin' ready

Will be up at 5am to catch a train. I am going to Orchid Island and a bunch of other places. Finally going to scuba dive in Taiwan. Hopefully the approaching typhoon will not give me grief.

Cut-offs

Erections and tofu farts got the better of most of my shorts. For a 100nt I had my shabby pants converted, and they fit perfectly.
I say "NO to having the crotch of my shorts rip out again!" I say "No" to the old seamstress winking before fixing another pair of tattered shorts. So maybe it is my ass-crack plumber butt that stresses my seams. I say it is better than a two toothed seamstress stressing my dreams.

Somebody's been two for a week

Her new skills are turning door handles successfully and more frequently using the potty.

Fun with rich kids

Amusement park, these kids did not walk by a vending machine or ice water seller without stopping. The water log ride was fun. I had to wear a raincoat to set an example for the kids.

2 buses, 4 kids per room, 6000 per room= 7th and 8th floor of the hotel. By 9:30 all the kids were asleep. Not a single can of beer, or 7-11 for miles around. The pool and other facilities also closed at 10 pm. Well at least there was no traffic buzz, highways, or chicken farms.

kevlar the science teacher

i don't see much of kevlar these days - he pops by once a week for a beer and to pick up building materials for his next project - but i do know he's been teaching elementary school again, including science class. he was telling me about his waterwheel experiment the other day but i think this would be way cooler.
